London is a good settlement location. The River Thames provides an adequate amount of water supply, land for agriculture, etc. (See Introduction or Analysis page). The Thames also provide a site for shipping ports, a crucial factor to communication with other countries and trading, which may lead to economic successes and growth. The climate is stable and the land offers a wide range of natural resources which can be used for trading with other countries. Although its low mountains do not provide protection to a great extent, the flatness supplies good land for building new structures on. London is a good area to settle because of its strategic location. Settling in London offers easy access to the rest of Europe. The temperature may drop to a minimum of -2ºC in winter months, which is a cause for sicknesses, and winter depression (a form of Seasonal Affective Disorder). It is a common occurrence in London because the further north in the world people live, the more common SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) is. However, the risk of getting SAD decreases with age.
